Location: Melbourne (Aquent)

Working within a close knit team who are driven by delivering successful customer outcomes, and supported by our partner businesses Firebrand Talent & Vitamin Talent, each Account Director manages the relationships with a portfolio of clients that make up some of Melbourne’s largest companies. Because of this, the Account Director role carries responsibility for a significant amount of existing and potential new business. This brings big challenges, and bigger rewards!

The clients managed by an Account Director are large corporate businesses that have complex buying cycles and bespoke processes so there are numerous models in which they can engage our services. This means each client requires an tailored approach that is strategic, adaptable, constantly evolving and involves having regular contact and meaningful relationships with many stakeholders within each client, to uncover what works best.

What all these clients have in common is the need to deliver the very best digital creative and marketing outcomes for their customers — and that’s where we come in — we ensure that people are never the reason they cannot succeed in this space.

The Account Director role has two key elements;

1) Business Development: we already transact with most of the clients managed by Account Directors, however each of them have a huge amount of potential for growth. So developing business from other departments and business units is a key part of the role.  

2) Account Management: where we already work with a department, the role requires high level account management, ensuring successful delivery of service, customer satisfaction and uncovering opportunities for organic growth.

A successful Account Director excels in both of those elements and success is measured by generating profit, revenue growth and customer satisfaction levels (measured by NPS).  

Our Account Directors are a true blend of hunter and farmer. They have the determination to continually pursue and win new business opportunities, but they realise there are very few quick wins. Wins come from nurturing deep client relationships, earning trust, building credibility, understanding how we can assist; and then crafting talent lead solutions to solve their digital creative and marketing challenges.
